Del Lago Green Team 🌎
Welcome to the Del Lago Green Team! My name is Shrutee Das, and I am excited to lead and support our students as we work together to care for our planet.
The Green Team is a wonderful way to teach our kids about environmental sustainability. From recycling and conservation to learning about seasonal foods, students gain hands-on experiences that create lifelong habits and positive environmental impact.
During the 2025-2026 school year, we hope to organize clean-up hikes, host educational events, and strengthen our recycling program. With your help, the Del Lago Green Team can continue to grow and make a meaningful difference!
How It Works ♻️
Everyone uses aluminum cans and plastic bottles at home. Dropping these items off at school is an easy way to support sustainability while raising funds for our school.
Families can bring recyclables to the front of the school on designated Green Team collection days.
Collection Guidelines
We currently accept plastic bottles and aluminum cans with CRV labels. Juice jugs and white plastic beverage containers are also accepted.
- Crush containers to maximize space
- Empty and rinse bottles when possible
- No glass please — broken glass is hazardous
- Have fun helping the planet!
We collect every other Friday morning (weather permitting). Volunteers should arrive by 7:40 AM. Gloves and hand sanitizer are provided.
